TECHNOLOGY
BI-COMPONENT FIBER
The G-LOFT® bi-component fiber is interwoven with a micrometer fine air channel. As a hollow fiber, it thus provides optimal thermal insulation, just like the polar bear’s fur in nature. The fiber consists of two different raw materials that contract to different degrees when they cool after the spinning process. This creates a spiral shape – similar to a spring – which is permanently fixed in the molecular structure. Due to the “MEMORY EFFECT”, the G-LOFT® insulation therefore always returns to its particularly warming, airy original shape.
UNIQUE FIBER BLEND
Whether bedspread or outdoor clothing: Depending on the desired texture of the end product, the G-LOFT® bi-component fibers are combined with a specific blend of micro and melt fibers (low-melt fibers). As full fibers, the micro-fibers provide a flatter structure and thus a smaller pack size. The low-melt fibers are responsible for the lightness and flexibility of the G-LOFT® insulation: thanks to THERMO-BONDING, their outer shell fuses with the other fibers, ensuring a durable, soft loft.
NATURAL CLUSTERING
The G-LOFT® fibers form so-called “clusters” within the insulation layer, as they are also found in high-quality down. Air is trapped in countless, small pads, creating optimal, durable insulation in all directions. Thanks to this clustering, which is unique for synthetic fibers, the G-LOFT® fiber exhibits similar thermal insulation properties as the natural down filling. Unlike down, however, G-LOFT® fiber dries very quickly after washing and immediately returns to its original airy shape.

Independent studies prove: The unique fiber technology gives G-LOFT® insulation an unrivaled warmth-to-weight ratio. The extremely hollow fiber results in a drastic reduction in specific weight and optimal thermal insulation. G-LOFT® is thus perceptibly lighter and achieves a proven higher thermal performance than other insulation materials for the same weight.
HIGHLY COMPRESSBILE
G-LOFT® products compress particularly well. Due to the good bulking behavior, the G-LOFT® insulation traps air, which can escape again when packing and stowing sleeping bags, blankets, etc.. Thanks to the MEMORY EFFECT, the spiral structure of the G-LOFT® fiber is permanently retained and causes the soft loft to build up again quickly after unpacking.
TOP WET CONDITION PERFORMANCE
Nature as a role model. The G-LOFT® fiber combines the advantages of natural down with the insensitivity of synthetic fiber. Unlike down, the G-LOFT® synthetic fiber itself does not absorb moisture and thus guarantees very high thermal performance even when wet. G-LOFT® products are therefore ideally suited for use in wet and cold areas.
BREATHABLE
Thanks to the natural cluster structure, the G-LOFT® insulation is particularly breathable. The air can circulate without extracting heat, optimal moisture transport is guaranteed and the body stays warm and dry. The G-LOFT® products thus guarantee perfect temperature regulation in the outdoors and an optimal sleeping climate.
